New writers, getting fresh

Writer Unboxed is looking for contributors

The popular (and very helpful) genre fiction blog, Writer Unboxed, is looking for contributors. Writer Unboxed publishes weekly posts from the two original bloggers (now published authors) , and has grown to include industry experts such as bestselling author Allison Winn Scotch and agent Donald Maas.

Our goal here at WU is to be informative, occasionally amusing, and above all, empowering to novelists and aspiring novelists who write genre fiction. These are qualities we’re also looking for in our contributors.

If rubbing elbows with published authors and successful agents doesn’t entice you, then get this: The site has been on the Writer’s Digest 101 Best Websites list since 2007. They draw readers with author interviews, writing tips and insightful reflections about the art and business of writing.

By contributing, you’ll connect with your fellow writers and get to take a look at the industry from the other side. Here is what they are looking for:

Our plan is to bring one new person in as a permanent member–someone who’d blog with us once monthly. But we’re also interested in developing a stable of writers who’d share a revolving post. The latter position is obviously less intimate, but it’ll ensure WU readers with a variety of unique voices and perspectives from those trekking the long road to publication.

If you are interested in devoting some serious time to contributing, then check out their application instructions and email your application by March 7th, 2010.

Good luck!
